English magic dealer and author Harry Leat didn't keep his opinions to himself. In his famed magazine Leat's Leaflet, now finally again available on our searchable CD, Leat blasted some of magic's icons: Houdini, exposers, The Linking Ring, Servais Le Roy, magic clubs, and the many targets he perceived as dishonest.
A typical Leat quote: "Magic is not controlled by magicians, but by solicitors, lawyers, architects, mimics, clerks, tradesmen, etc., etc., with possibly a retired magician or a humorous conjurer or exposer thrown in just to give things a semblance of magic."
You'll enjoy Harry Leat's words again in this CD, which collects all 56 issues of his magazine, filled with his editorials as well as effects, cartoons (many poking fun at magic's heroes), and art including some of Sid Lorraine's earliest published work.
Over 650 pages with every issue from 1926 to 1940, all in easily searchable PDFs on a single CD.
